Life
Hi, I'm MohammadReza.
The person behind the papers and the platforms — Tehran to Leiden, and the rest of it.
Bio
I read more ML papers than I probably should, and I'm now doing master's-level work at Leiden University on the strength of that habit. Two papers so far: one CNN for spotting counterfeit black tea from leaf images, one on PPO-based reinforcement learning for software defect prediction. The interesting bit in both: which parts of the method survive contact with real data.
I also build things. KPA Lab is an ICP-OES analytics platform I co-founded, now in 30+ commercial labs. StudyPuff is a study app I co-founded in Leiden that grew to 17,000 students. I also keep a 21-server VPN online through Iran's national internet shutdowns (the VPN, not the country).
Before that, five years at Sharif: BSc in computer engineering, TA on five courses (automata, simulation, data science, advanced programming, probability). Research at RIML, RADIAN, and HABIBI labs, then a stretch shipping an LVLM pricing engine at MyKolbeh. Math olympiads as a kid. Persian at home, English at work, and I'm slowly working through Swedish.
Journey
Tehran to Leiden.
Sharif in 2019. Three research labs. Two companies. A master at Leiden in 2026. The line is shorter than the years felt.

Off the clock
The reading, music, and what-I-do-for-fun part is still being written. Check back, or just ask me.

Currently in Leiden.
I read everything that lands here. A clear one-line subject and one specific question wins.
